Jane D. Bushey

Jane D. Bushey, age 69 passed away in Duluth, MN on Monday, April 25, 2022. Jane was born in New Richmond, WI on December 30, 1952, daughter of John D. Sutherland and Vivian J. Sutherland (Bush).

Jane graduated from Lincoln High School in Bloomington, MN. She attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she would go on to pursue a career in nursing. She then moved to Bailey’s Harbor, WI, where she met a fellow nurse, Dean Bushey of Prentice, WI. Jane and Dean were married in Sister Bay, WI on May 25, 1985. Jane and Dean moved to Park Falls, WI later that year to start a family. Jane was an active member of the community and worked for several years at the Price County Health Department. In 2006, she moved to Duluth, MN with her partner, Art Johnston, where she continued her passion for service in the local schools and as a foster parent. She loved to garden, read, cook, and volunteer in the community.
