Robert Schultz, age 86, of Butternut, formerly of Milwaukee, died on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at his son’s home in Muskego. He was born on June 15, 1932 in Milwaukee, the son of Myron and Pearl (Straetz) Schultz. After his schooling he entered the United States Marine Corps and served during the Korean War. Robert was a police officer for many years and a retired member of the United States Coast Guard Reserve. In 1992 he married Bonnie Pemble and the couple later moved to Butternut in 1994. Robert was a past Commander of the Glidden VFW Post.
He is survived by three children: Scott (Kay) Schultz of Muskego, Teri-Sue (Dennis) Walczyk of Glidden, and Robert (Julie) Schultz of Oak Creek; two stepchildren: Kim (Ann) Pemble of Port Washington, and Julie (Norman) Peterson of Grantsburg; nine grandchildren: Bjorn, Soren, Selena, Dresden, Heidi, Dennijean, Penni, Tonya, and Machaela; many great-grandchildren; his sister, Myrna (Jim) Malmstrom of Greendale; his first wife, Donna Joy; andand many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Bonnie in 2014, and his infant son Tommy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in Glidden. Fr. Pappi Reddy will officiate.
Military honors will follow the service under the auspices of the Glidden VFW Post.
A visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service.
Interment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield.
