Doris Jean (Klein) Hogue, age 77, of Park Falls, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Flambeau Hospital in Park Falls. She was born July 30, 1941 in Oak Park, Illinois, the daughter of Wesley and Hazel (Fisher) Klein. Doris and her parents moved to the Park Falls-Butternut area in 1957 and Doris graduated from Butternut High School in 1959. On June 25, 1960 she married Ronald Hogue in Park Falls. She spent her early years working as a clerk in downtown Park Falls for Sears and Montgomery Ward’s catalog stores and for Enhelder’s clothing store. Doris enjoyed being a chaperone on trips with the Brass Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp while her daughters were growing up. She took pride in her grandchildren and flower gardens.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald Hogue of Park Falls; her daughter, Cindy (Steven) Boeck of Rhinelander; three grandchildren: Jacob (Tracy) Linsmeyer, Janeen Boeck, and Bryan Boeck; one great-grandson, Carter Linsmeyer; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Marie Hogue-Linsmeyer in 1984; and her sister, Betty Hackbarth.
A private service will be held.
