The Flambeau Chapter of Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation (RMEF) will hold its 17th annual banquet Saturday, April 5, at Northwoods Supper Club in Fifield. Doors will open at 5 p.m.
RMEF is celebrating its 30th year of protecting habitat for elk and other wildlife, as well as improving public access in areas across the United States. It also plays a vital role in protecting our country’s hunting heritage. The organization credits its 10,000 plus volunteers for the success of its programs.
Following a delicious meal of either prime rib or chicken Wellington, local banquet attendees will have the opportunity to win raffled items including quality firearms, an Excalibur crossbow with accessories, artwork, jewelry, apparel and more. A silent auction will be held, featuring RMEF merchandise and gift certificates provided by area businesses. During the live auction event “big ticket” items are available for bid. An overview of RMEF’s mission and a report on the status of the Clam Lake herd and Butternut area sub-herd will also take place.
