Letter to the Editor: Let our libraries flourish

The article on the contentious library issue in Phillips (PCR-2/23) was very interesting. The article focuses on whether to expand the numbers of the library board or to leave the number at nine, which the Library Director, Rebecca Puhl, says is sufficient.

Ms. Puhl has administered our public library for 15 years and it has expanded in many ways to benefit our community. She clearly has stated that this move to add board members is not about representation or funding, but about censorship and control and that further study and review should be done before decisions are made. (It appears that some decisions have already been made by the Price County Executive Committee.)
