May 8 through May 12 is Public-School Teacher Appreciation Week, and the Price County Retired Educators’ Association would like to recognize area educators from the Prentice, Phillips, Chequamegon, Butternut, and NTC School Districts for their tremendous service to our communities and Wisconsin.

According to the Buck Institute for Education’s April 27 newsletter, a teacher connects with 3,000 students on average by the end of their careers. With about 64,000 active, public-school teachers in Wisconsin, that means 19,200,000 young Wisconsinites will be impacted by the teachers in their lives.
