The Park Falls Police Department has begun issuing reminders to area residents of winter parking restrictions for automobile owners parking on city streets. Winter parking will be in effect beginning on Nov. 1, and will conclude on May 1, 2020. On Sunday, Oct. 27, the department’s night shift officer began placing winter parking reminders on each vehicle that would be in violation if it were Nov. 1, in advance of the winter parking restrictions as a reminder of the policy.
Park Falls Ordinance 10-1-27(d)(1) states that no person shall park any vehicle or leave any vehicle standing on any street from 2 a.m. until 6 a.m. between Nov. 1 and May 1, except as expressly allowed by the Chief of Police or his designee, per administrative policy. The Park Falls Police Department is encouraging residents to begin off-street parking now, to avoid a citation.
