The Flambeau Hospital Auxiliary is holding its 2020 membership drive Friday, Nov. 8, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Northwoods Community Credit Union and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Super One. Interested individuals are invited to learn more about the FHA and its mission by speaking with the volunteers manning tables at the two locations. Donations to the FHA, a non-profit organization, will also be accepted.
The FHA has been around, in different forms and under different names, since 1928, helping the hospital in Park Falls. As a Critical Access Hospital, and the only hospital within about a 50-mile radius, Flambeau Hospital is important to the people living in or visiting this area of the state.
The FHA has a thrift shop at 125 2nd Avenue North in Park Falls, in the former Sears building across from Park Pharmacy. It is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Saturdays. People can also sign up as members or renew their membership at the thrift shop at any time.
