Quilters and sewing enthusiasts will be excited to learn that a fabric shop is coming to Phillips.
Sandy Marshall, owner of Bolts of Fun Quilt Shop in Thorp, will set up her mobile fabric store at the Fred Smith Studio at Concrete Park for one day only on Monday, Aug. 5 from 1 to 5 p.m. Sandy will bring over 200 bolts of fabric and hundreds of fat quarters and precuts. There will also be a selection of wool for hand-embroidery enthusiasts.
Local quilters and crafters will appreciate this unique opportunity that saves them from having to travel an hour or more to get fabric and supplies.
Marshall said, “It’s just fun! Come and browse, share ideas, visit and enjoy the afternoon. The concept of the mobile shop has gone over very well, and we are regularly being asked to come back.”
Helping Hands Quilt Club of Phillips is sponsoring the event. For more information about the club or the mobile fabric store call club president Beth Laatsch at 715-332-5288.
