Several athletes from Ashland, Butternut, Mellen, South Shore and Washburn raced, leapt and tossed their way onto the podium in invitational tournaments held May 9 and 10. For the Oredockers, who competed in the Tomahawk Hatchet Invitational May 10 at Tomahawk High School, several standouts whose performances are separating them from other athletes in the Northwoods again came up strong. Junior Grace Moravchik continues to set marks in several events that would qualify for WIAA D2 state. Sophomore teammate distance runner Adeline Bauer is also clipping along at a state-qualifying pace, while senior pole vaulter Elaina Seeger has exceeded her state qualifying heights from last season.
