I am a member of Citizens’ Climate Lobby, Chequamegon Chapter, one of about 450 chapters across the country. As I write this, we are in Florida, next to Mexico Beach and the devastation from hurricane Michael. I am reflecting on what we’ve seen here and what we have heard about the too-frequent catastrophes around the world related to climate change.
I learned in college that, 13.8 billion years ago, the universe began with a bang. Astronomers call it the Big Bang. It gave birth to billions of galaxies, each comprising billions of stars and planets. Earth is a tiny dot in that vast universe.
