The big news in the state of Wisconsin’s economics is that last month, unemployment in the state fell to an all-time low of 2.9 percent, a level that is unmatched in the nearly 170 year history of the state, or at least as long as job statistics have been kept.

While such an employment figure is very good news, according to University of Wisconsin Professor of Applied Economics, Steven Deller, there is reason for tempering the celebration over the job numbers.
