Thomas E. Rondeau,
In a few days you will be receiving your diplomas signifying that you have completed your work so that you could graduate. This also indicates that you have just lived approximately 25% of your lives.
It is time for you to reflect on what you have accomplished in last few years.
Now you must look to the future to see what you want to do with the rest of your life. Some of you will go on to college, some will go to tech school, some will look for steady employment and some will join the military. Whatever you choose, do the best job and learn from the experience. Do not fear failure, but learn from it.
I would also like to suggest that in the very near future you leave your laptop and cellphone at home, take a walk in the woods, find a place to sit down and take an hour to think of all those who have helped you in the past. They have always been there to help you. Thank them in your mind, because they have done a lot of thinking of you. Above all thank your mom and dad because you will realize how smart they were and what they did for you. Remember you have only one mom and dad.
I would like to leave you with three words that will help you in life, and other people will appreciate, and they are: please and thank you.
