Workers at the Bad River Commodity Distribution Center load a vehicle with free food from the USDA Farmers to Family Food Box program. The program has been operating at Bad River for the past three weeks and is open to anyone regardless of income or tribal status.


Emma Calaway, director of the BRICK Ministries food shelf, carries a box of frozen breaded chicken, part of the 60 pounds of food in each box distributed at the Odanah site.
