A children’s production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” opens Friday. In the play, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids — probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won't believe the mayhem — and the fun — when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on!

The show is directed by Roy Underhill and will be followed by a special reading of A Christmas Carol by John Munson. The beloved voice of public radio in northern Wisconsin will perform a stripped-down version of Dickens' famous story about selflessness, focusing on what is of utmost importance during the season. God bless us, every one.
