Master angler 1

A 39 ¼-inch lake trout is the latest catch for master angler Dakota Carter of Marengo. A member of the Ashland High School fishing team, he has caught a total of eight species of fish that have qualified for the award. The latest catch puts him in second place for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Fishing Association tournament.

For as long as he can remember, Dakota Carter has been obsessed with fishing.
