WASHBURN – From children's theater to hand-crafting a violin, the arts are thriving in the Chequamegon Bay area. That was a clear message at the recent annual meeting of the Chequamegon Bay Arts Council, an organization dedicated to promoting the arts and artists in the bay area.

Held at the Washburn Cultural Center, the annual meeting featured talks by George Tzougros and Karen Goeschko of the Wisconsin Arts Board and Anne Katz of Arts Wisconsin, as well as presentations from area artists and organizations who benefitted from CBAC grants in 2017.
