Republicans now control our U.S. House of Representatives. The first order of business for our Republican Congressman Tom Tiffany and his party is to raise our national debt ceiling. We have reached the current debt ceiling. Treasury Secretary Janet Yelin has warned of serious adverse events such as increased interest rates due to fears the U.S. government will not stand behind our treasury bills and inability of our government to fund our armed forces and send out Social Security checks.
