Dry conditions will lead to near critical fire weather conditions
today. Minimum relative humidity values of 10 to 20 percent are
expected. This condition could lead to the rapid spread of fires.

After a winter of a record-setting depth of snow we finally have made it to the month of May. My dog friends seem to enjoy the change in temperatures even though here beside the big lake we still have not seen the coming of dependably warm weather. It has been cold, downright chilly, day after day and we are nearly in the middle of the month already. Where are the tulips and daffodils? And what about the crocuses and Johnny-jump-ups? I have spotted some of these early friends around town but not nearly enough. May flowers? Not this year. Nope. Either the rush of these quiet joys sped-by without saying “Hello!” or I was too busy (too foolish?) not to notice.
