Anita K. Kleinsteiber, 75, of Highbridge, WI passed away Tuesday, Sept 17, 2019 at Mellen Manor in Mellen, WI. Anita was born May 7, 1944 in Washburn, WI, the daughter of Richard F. and Ruth (Hall) Boettcher.
On Sept 13, 2003 she was united in marriage to Ralph L. Kleinsteiber in Lodi, WI. She was a licensed practical nurse working in hospitals, nursing homes and for hospice for over 40 years. She was a member of the Mellen Congregational United Church of Christ Auxiliary, the Mellen Red Hats Nifty Fifty, was the secretary of the Northern Aged Iron Tractor Cub and the secretary of the Friends of Copper Falls. She enjoyed camping, fishing, going on bus tours and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph of Highbridge; son, James Hoffman of Oregon, WI; daughters, Janet (Luis) Quinchucua of Madison, WI and Jill (Tom) Ripp of Lodi, WI; stepson, Bruce (Diane) Kleinsteiber of Highbridge, WI; 11 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; brother, James (Jeannie) Boettcher of Kellogg, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Frank, Fred & Richard Boettcher; three sisters, Thelma Taylor, Sue Berndt & Jessie Kleinsteiber; and one step-granddaughter, Jamie.
A Memorial Service for Anita will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept 28, 2019 at the Congregational
United Church of Christ in Mellen, WI with Reverend Donald Quigley officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Church in Mellen and continue until the hour of service. Interment will be private.
The Mountain Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Mellen and Ashland, WI is assisting the family.
