Judith Ann Burns, age 75, of Odanah, passed away October 30, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center, in Ashland. She was born February 4, 1944, in Ashland, the daughter of Louis and Madeline (Deragon) Houle.
On April 23, 1960, she married Myron “Burnsie” Burns, in Ashland, WI. Judith worked at Munsingwear and A&W, in Ashland. She later worked as the bakery manager for Holiday Village and in the bakery at the Washburn IGA. Judith then worked for the Bad River Casino Complex and then was the supervisor of the Moccasin Trail Complex, prior to retiring in 2017. Judith enjoyed going to the Casino, playing BINGO, making beautiful wedding cakes, and going to Milwaukee Brewer games. She loved traveling with her family and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Myron “Burnsie” Burns Sr., Odanah; five children, William (Hiedi-Beth) Burns Sr., Ashland, Myron A. “Tonto” Burns Jr., Odanah, Christina (Robert Jr.) Ante, Odanah, Etta Burns, Odanah, and Randy (Chris) Powless, Oneida; 16 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry Houle, Manitowoc and Robert Houle, Bethel, AK; a sister, Bonnie (Marvin) Harvey, Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Madge Houle, Ashland; numerous nieces and nephews; and two fur-babies, Sabrina and Sassy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald; a granddaughter, Amber Burns; a great-granddaughter, Christabella Whitebird; and many brothers and sisters.
Traditional services will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Bad River Community Center. Visitation will be held after 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2019, at the Bad River Community Center. Interment will take place in the Odanah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established by the family.
