Earl “Toby” Morrison, Jr., 85, of Ashland, passed away on June 11, 2019, in Ashland. He was born March 26, 1934, in Hayward, WI the son of Earl and Catherine (Arbuckle) Morrison, Sr.

He graduated from Ashland High School in 1952. He attended Northland College in Ashland and graduated in 1957. He served in the United States Navy. On October 26, 1963, he married Margot Steinbruegge in Waukegan, IL.

He lived in Milwaukee, Green Bay, and Ashland. He was a state health food inspector for the State of Wisconsin. Earl owned Mr. Bob’s in Ashland. He also had a license to teach Biology and German. Earl was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Odanah and was a church choir member. Throughout his life, he enjoyed hunting, trapping, and fishing, and a cat and dog lover.

He is survived by his brother, John Morrison and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margot; special friend, Bobbi Sundberg; 6 sisters, Bev “Babs” Lolich, Marlene “Tate” Blackorbay, Dorothy “Babe” Brown, Mary Ellen “Nippy” Mayotte, Eleanore “Ella” Morrison, and Ruth “Pinzie” Morrison.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Frost Home for Funerals in Ashland, with Fr. Ducanh Pham, OFM, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Graveside and United Chequamegon Bay Veterans military rites will be held at the St. Agnes Cemetery in Ashland.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the Chequamegon Humane Association.
