Brian “Yazzie The Chef” Yazzie started cooking when he was a child and hasn’t looked back. The St. Paul-based chef talked to Northland College students and community members Monday about his efforts to promote Native American cuisine.

He likes to use modern techniques and Native ingredients that come as a result of partnerships with foragers, hunters and farmers. He has incorporated ancestral knowledge gained over the years into starting the Intertribal Foodways catering company.
