When neighbors around Ashland’s Bohemian Hall started complaining that the dilapidated building should be razed, Nancy Sztyndor had other ideas.

After more than 100 years of hosting wedding receptions, graduation parties, plays and musical events, the versatile event center that opened in 1912 by Czech immigrants has been an important part of local history — even if it was showing its age.
