Joel Glickman, a professor emeritus of music at Northland College, is well known in the region for his acumen on the clarinet and banjo. Now, the community is getting to know him as a gifted writer. Last year, he published a children’s book, “Marisol the Parasol” and Aji Press has just published “Critters,” a volume of Glickman’s poetry.

Beautifully illustrated by David “Ollie” Oliver, the same artist who illustrated “Marisol,” “Critters”is filled with meditations serious and fanciful about the furred, feathered and scaled beings with whom we share our planet.
